CLIA Testing Information for WU Physicians Clinics
For patient testing, hours of operation are Monday – Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. For blood to be drawn, patients must be on the schedule by 4:15 PM.
Add-on testing is available by calling 314-362-3522. If it is after hours, leave a message of the testing you want added and patient information and someone will get back to you the next business day. Add-on orders must also be entered into EPIC.
Expected turn-around time (TAT) is by the end of clinic day for specimens received prior to 2 PM on Mondays through Thursdays. For samples received after 2 PM, the goal is to report within 24 hours of receipt of sample. A few exceptions exist by prior arrangement, e.g. for Valve Clinic samples, the TAT goal is by the end of the day for all specimens received. On Fridays, expected turn-around time is also by the end of the day.
